Collin Forbes

Bio:

I was born in Deland, Florida and attended the IB program at Deland Highschool. There I did my best to balance enjoying my time in my TV production classes as well as taking many of the rigorous classes of the IB program such as Calculus 2 and Physics 2. 

I was fortunate to be admitted into the University of Florida. From there I started as a mechanical engineering major but switched to my final major of Economics after doing some exploratory majors temporarily while finding my way.

Once at the University of Florida, I began my first company ClassroomSync. The company provided a multi-platform software that provided a website for teachers and downloadable app for students. Teachers could monitor what their students were doing inside of the ClassroomSync app during class time. ClassroomSync aimed to save schools money on buying physical devices for individual students. Also in college I founded Remarkable Roads which was a company that specialized in creating one-of-a-kind maps of over 440 locations all over the world. We use open-source data and compile it into stylized maps in multiple colors and sell them to customers as well as wholesale to retailers. 

In 2021 I was accepted into the University of Florida Masters in Information Systems and Data Science program and am pursuing a concentration in Business Analytics. I am incredibly passionate about solving problems with data and drawing conclusions to make data-driven decisions.
